Horizon: the business management platform that brings business trips, expense reports, leave and deadlines into one place
Horizon was born at Qualibit to get spreadsheets, e-mails and paper out of everyday administrative processes. It is a web application reserved for employees, with sign-in through the company Microsoft account, granular roles and permissions, and designed to be installed on Azure with a dedicated database for each customer (multi-tenant architecture).
Modules#
Business trips and expense reports#
From planning to reporting, the whole business trip cycle is tracked:
- Planning of the trip (customer, location, period, participants, daily pocket money), also starting from an Excel site sheet
- Clear statuses: Planned, In progress, Reporting, Closed
- Site map, time zone and currency automatically linked to the destination country, with exchange rates updatable from an external service
- Expenses that can also be uploaded from a smartphone, with automatic reading of receipts through artificial intelligence and duplicate checking
- Mileage reimbursements with historical ACI rates for each vehicle
- Monthly timesheets and monthly expense report with approval workflow and signed document
- Company card statements and balances per employee
Leave and time off#
- Requests for holidays, time off and sick leave in days or hours
- Approval by each employee’s manager, with the option to request additional information
- Balances by type, absence calendar and monthly report for administration
- Excel export
Deadlines#
A shared reminder for everything that must not expire unnoticed: worker training and safety, contracts, insurance, GDPR, IT certificates, first-aid kits.
- Categories, priorities, linked employee and status (In progress, Expiring, Expired, Closed)
- Renewal with one click and notifications ahead of the deadline
- Reports and export to Excel and JSON
Notice board#
The digital company notice board: circulars, announcements and notices addressed to everyone, to a role or to individual people, with read receipts and statistics for publishers.
Security and administration#
- Sign-in exclusively with the company Microsoft account; no self-registration
- Users, roles and permissions always enforced server-side
- Logs and audit trail of relevant operations
- Data backup and restore directly from the application
- Tenant and configuration parameter management from the administration area
Extensible on request#
Horizon has a modular architecture: new modules and features can be developed on request to adapt the tool to your company’s processes. Existing modules can also be customised or integrated with your systems.
Technology#
ASP.NET application with a modular split into separate assemblies, Microsoft Entra ID authentication, SQL database and deployment on Microsoft Azure. Integration with artificial intelligence services (Claude) automates the reading of receipts and invoices.
